Lockpicking_ToolsYou’re invited to:

Your Locks, Inside and Out:  An evening of Lockpicking with Deviant Ollam

When:  Tuesday, April 28, 5-8 PM

Where: LMG World Headquarters, 145 W Front Street, Basement
(NOTE: LMG has MOVED! We’re downtown now, across the street from the Top Hat.)

What kinds of items are in your pocket, day in and day out, without fail?  Your wallet?  Your phone?  Perhaps a pocketknife or a multitool if you like to always be prepared?  This workshop will focus on a much older piece of tech, but one that is no less ubiquitous… your keys.

Nearly all of us carry keys with us everyday.  We use them often, but seldom consider how they actually work.  If you’ve ever been curious about what mechanism are at work inside of the locks you use every day, this lockpicking workshop might be the one for you!

Renowned security expert Deviant Ollam (owner of The CORE Group and Boardmember of The Open Organisation of Lockpickers) will be entertaining and educating anyone who shows up at the LMG Security Basement beneath 145 W Front Street on Tuesday, April 28th.  Want to tinker with locks and tools the likes of which you’ve only seen in movies featuring police, spies, and secret agents?  Then come visit us that evening and learn hands-on how the fundamental hardware of physical security operates and how it can be compromised.

Refreshments will be provided and plenty of trial locks, pick tools, and other devices will be available for you to handle. By exploring the faults and flaws in many popular lock designs, you can not only learn about the fun hobby of sportpicking, but also gain a much stronger knowledge about the best methods and practices for protecting your own property.

Guests welcome. Please RSVP if you can to [email protected] so we know how many snacks to pick up. See you!
